2006 was NWR's first year running with the
"Big Dawgs" in the NMRA Ford Nationals
Drag Racing Series. This very competative
series made eight stops, with NWR making it
to 3 of the events. Running two cars in the
Open Comp class, NWR scored three round
wins in their very first event at Maple Grove,
PA. They also scored one round win at Atco,
NJ and two round wins at National Trail in
Columbus, OH. Overall it was a very
successful rookie year and sets the tone for
hopefully winning an NMRA event in '07.
The 2006 Northeast Iron Time Trial Series was
very competative for the NWR #20 Ford Mustang 5.0
Fourteen drivers scored points during the season,
which consisted of seven roadcourse events.
NWR made it to four out the seven events, but only
scored points in three events, with one DNS.
NWR scored fourth place at Shenandoah, fifth place
at Pocono South and a fifth place at Pocono East. Head
gasket problems developed at Pocono North whiched
forced the DNS. Overall, NWR scored a total of 40
points which placed seventh for the year. For a car
development year, this was a successful effort.

2005 was the year that put NWR on the map. It was a
rookie year for the #20 Time Trial Ford Mustang built to
SCCA A/S specs. We competed in four SCCA TT's
including two PHA hillclimbs. As the hillclimbs proved to
be very hard on equipment, we decided to join EMRA's
Northeast Iron TT Series. NEI 's TT format was run on
roadcourses and NWR made it to two events- Pocono
and Watkins Glen. We instantly found a home with NEI.
NWR also made it to two Auto-X events with SSCC in
Lancaster, PA. Finally, CJ PONY Parts sponsored a
Ford streetcar shootout at Numidia Dragway in PA. This
is where the '79 Mustang/ '03 Cobra showdown took
place. The Cobra struck first winning the 1st round while
the Mustang fought back with the infamous 'holeshot" win.

2007 was a busy year for No Wear Racing making
it to four NMRA Ford Nationals Drag Racing Series
events, two Northeast Iron Time Trial Series events,
and three Northeast Pro-Street Shootout Series
events. Scoring points and placing in all three series
made it a successful year. A greater emphasis was
placed on developing the O/C NMRA Drag race effort,
working with several suspension and power combos.
The NEI Time Trial (20) Mustang , running on a back-up
engine , was cut short to concentrate on getting back to
our original SCCA A/S engine set-up for 2008.

2008 NWR Race Recap another successful
development year has come to an end. Our drag
racing program went through the most suspension
and engine development this year. This resulted in
improved reaction times, lower 60 ft times and lower
ET's including a 11.62 @120.8 record run. NWR
competed in three NMRA events and a first time
appearance in the NMCA. Improvements in our
qualifying with a .006 rt earned us a record fourth
place spot at Atco. A first round win over the OC
points champion was promising but three red light
elimination round reaction times kept us out of victory
lane. Something we will work out for '09. After a year
of rebuilding, the SCCA 20 program will be back in
'09 with a new engine package.
NWR using RAMS Race Engines for 2009
in order to increase engine performance and
reliability NWR has sought the help of RAMS race
engines out of Blandon, PA. The first engine was
built to SCCA American Sedan specs for the #20
Time Trial Mustang. After parking the #20 for the
entire 2008 season, the new Ford 306 engine is
installed and ready to go. The second engine was
built for the #9464 NMRA/NMCA OC Drag Mustang.
The new Ford 347 was assembled, balanced and
bluprinted to handle 500 plus horsepower. The #9464
will be ready for testing in April.
Rain Rain Go Away... 2009 was undoubted the
year of never ending rain. The weather kept us out of
the NMRA Ford Nationals as well as all Street Battle
events at Maple Grove Raceway.
The new RAMS drag race engine in the #9464 OC
Mustang performed very well in testing, breaking
several NWR records, including: Best 60 ft. 1.599
sec. Best 1/4 mile ET 11.287 sec. Best 1/4 mile
MPH 127.5 mph.
The highlight of the 2009 season was a 1st place in
class at the Duryea Hillclimb in Reading, PA. The
#20 SCCA American Sedan Mustang charged up
the 2.3 mile, 13 turn course in 137 .5 secs.
