NWR in Reynolds, GA  Tim Schmoyer entered the OC
#9527 Cobra in the NMRA Ford Nationals at Sillver Dollar
Raceway. After a successful Fri. test-n-tune and rd 1
qualifying, Sat was rained out. Ignition problems plagued the
#9527 for Sun qualifying, which put Tim up against the Don
Bowles in the #2 Roush prepared car in rd 1 eliminations. A
speedy ignition repair forced Tim to break out in rd 1 when,
as a result, the Cobra ran a 12:09 on a 12:28 index.

LX sedan Ford Mustang is nearing its first track event at
Summit Point, West Virginia for the Jefferson circuit time
trials on May 28 and 29, 2005.The car is going through
final preparations for competition as well as painting and
decaling. The car is featuring STEEDA'S 5-LINK REAR
SUSPENSION.
SSCC AUTO-X at Park City Mall-
Lancaster,PA - The first points AX event in 2005.
102 entrants showed up to battle at the Sears Auto
Center parking lot at the Park City Mall. The #44k
SVT Ford Focus made 4 clean runs with the last
run being the fastest- 39:530 which made
it to the 5th slot in the G-stock class out of 13.
A-sedan Mustang runs with NortheastIron
at Pocono-
a newly formed roadrace and time
trial series for American V-8 cars named NEI
(NortheastIron) is attached to the EMRA series. The
4th time trial event was held at Pocono Raceway on
the North course with over 60 entrants including 6
drivers from NEI. Three 25 minute practice sessions
were ran before the 2 timed laps. The #20 AS/NEI
Mustang driven by owner Brad Satow ran a 3rd fast
of 1:06.41 during the timed laps, plus a lot of track
time. The next NEI event for NWR is 10/23/05 at
Watkins Glen.
NWR runs two PHA Hillclimbs- the PA Hillclimb
Assn. hosted by the SCCA hosts several TT hillclimb
events across eastern PA. These events are level 4 TT
driving events are considered to be very dangerous.
NWR made it to two events, the Pagoda Hillclimb in
Reading, PA  and the 99th running of the Giants Despair
Hillclimb in Wilkes Barre, PA(pictured left). Great drivers
like Roger Penske and Carroll Shelby have tested their
racecars against the famous Giants Despair hill.  The
#20 AS SCCA Mustang scored a third in class at Pagoda,
but clutch problems caused a DNF at Giants.
2006 was NWR's first year running with the
"Big Dawgs" in the
NMRA Ford Nationals
Drag Racing Series
. This very competative
series made eight stops, with NWR making it
to 3 of the events. Running two cars in the
Open Comp class, NWR scored three round
wins in their very first event at Maple Grove,
PA. They also scored one round win at Atco,
NJ and  two round wins at National Trail in
Columbus, OH. Overall it was a very
successful  rookie year and sets the tone for
hopefully winning an NMRA event in '07.
The 2006 Northeast Iron Time Trial Series was
very competative for the NWR #20 Ford Mustang 5.0
Fourteen drivers scored points during the season,
which consisted of seven roadcourse events.
NWR made it to four out the seven events, but only
scored points in three events, with one DNS.
NWR scored fourth place at Shenandoah, fifth place
at Pocono South and a fifth place at Pocono East. Head
gasket problems developed at Pocono North whiched
forced the DNS. Overall, NWR scored a total of 40
points which placed seventh for the year. For a car
development year, this was a successful effort.
2005 was the year that put NWR on the map.  It was a
rookie year for the #20 Time Trial  Ford Mustang built to
SCCA A/S specs.  We competed in four SCCA TT's
including two PHA hillclimbs. As the hillclimbs proved to
be very hard on equipment, we decided to join EMRA's
Northeast Iron TT Series. NEI 's TT format  was run on
roadcourses and NWR made it to two events- Pocono
and Watkins Glen. We instantly found a home with NEI.
NWR also made it to two Auto-X events with
SSCC in
Lancaster, PA.  Finally,
CJ PONY Parts sponsored a
Ford streetcar shootout at Numidia Dragway in PA. This
is where  the '79 Mustang/ '03 Cobra showdown took
place. The Cobra struck first winning the 1st round while
the Mustang fought back with the infamous 'holeshot" win.
2007- has been a busy year for No Wear Racing
making it to four NMRA Ford Nationals Drag Racing
Series
events, two Northeast Iron Time Trial Series
events, and three
Northeast Pro-Street Shootout Series
events. Scoring points and placing in all three series made it
a successful year. A greater emphasis was placed on
developing the O/C NMRA Drag race effort, working with
several suspension and power combos.
The NEI Time Trial (20) Mustang , running on a back-up
engine , was cut short to concentrate on getting back to our
original SCCA A/S engine set-up for 2008.
No Wear Racing was officially formed in the summer of
2003 by Brad Satow and Tim Scymoyer. Working for a
BG
Products
Distibutor, the concept of specialized racing
chemistry was born. Since the late '90's and into the early
2000's most of Brad and Tim's spare time was spent working
on their '79 Mustangs and running Charity Drag Race events
sponsored by the
Pocono Performance Car Club held at a
small airstrip in Stroudsburg, PA. That developed into running
Friday Night Grudge Races at Maple Grove Raceway in
Mohnton, PA. In 2001 Brad bought the '88 Mustang with a
vision of building a
SCCA A/S Roadrace Car. Tim bought an
'03 Cobra with the idea of making a
700hp Street/Strip car.
